February 1, 20188 yr As many of you know, Lew (our turning forum moderator) is a product tester for Easy Wood Tools. He receives no pay or compensation for this, but he does get to play with some prototype tools and hopefully have some extra fun. We really appreciate his hard work and expertise which he so willingly shares with us, he does a great job. I wanted to give him a little recognition for all of his hard work... Here is a sneak peak for all of you to see, our upcoming 1/2 page ad in American Woodturner Magazine. Thanks Lew, for all you do! AAW Half Page April 2018 final.pdf
February 1, 20188 yr Thank You. I really appreciate being associated with the awesome folks at Easy Wood Tools. Thank You, Jim, for using one of my turnings in the ad. And... who would want or need any pay or compensation for being able to play with such fantastic tools!

February 1, 20188 yr What a gorgeous piece. Thanks, Jim. I'll bet Lew had fun turning that ugly piece of Manzanita into that piece of art. Bet he was glad he had those EWTs, too. Edited February 1, 20188 yr by Gene Howe
February 1, 20188 yr I think Jim must have photoshopped that! I don't believe it was that nice looking. Here it is on the workbench. It was turned completely with Easy Wood Tools-

February 2, 20188 yr Lew I like your pic better. maybe lighting or the wood oxidized to change the color. If the AWB is not correct the colors will change significantly. Great piece and you answered my question as to it being one piece.
February 2, 20188 yr A great thread...Very deserving recognition to Lew for a magnificient work of art and appreciation to Jim & EWT for the support given to TPW and the members here.
