So we do a much better job of grain matching than just grabbing the next  piece and slapping it on a cabinet.  Work like this just irks me.

 

The two draws looks like someone who didn't know wood grain put the drawers together. If they were so good I wonder why they didn't put the light grain opposite each other and like wise dark opposite the dark.  Some woodworkers just don't get do they?

These look more like production cabinets than custom cabinets.

I'm sure they are.  Paid by the hour or piece -- don't care, don't get paid to look good.

Every artist has to be a craftsman or think like one, anyway. A true craftsman is an artist, as well. Those drawer fronts were made by neither.
