wood sources

Make yourself a shooting board and use your hand plane to make the edges straight and ready to glue. Very easy to do. To clamp thin stuff, use culls to keep it flat and some butcher paper or plastic film to keep the glue from sticking to the culls. Use wedge pairs to push the parts together.

Just ordered the cherry, I'll update you as the order progresses. :)

The cherry arrived today. Good looking stuff. It should have been here Friday but the address was wrong (325 vs 326) and UPS had to fix it., but they sent 6 pieces instead of 5, so there's that. The wood is flat (no warpage) and the dimensions listed.

Great to hear Wichman and that you're pleased with your purchase. A trip to their physical location is on my To Do list sometime this year. Thanks for giving the feedback...May benefit others especially scrollers.
