I've just been invited to join the forum and I'm looking forward to participating.  I haven't done what I would consider fine wood working but am looking to 'up my game'.  My projects to date have been more of a functional nature.

Welcome to the forums.   Working on your projects (hopefully inside in Mass) is a great way to end this year and start next.   Don't worry about  "fine woodworking"; some of us only get as far as "making a mess".

Jim, There aren't many of us New Englanders here, so it's good to have another aboard this ship. I'm from Salisbury, not that far away from Weymouth. I'm a hobbyist, and probably to oldest of the old pharts here. My woodworking in the recent past has been making band saw boxes. A great group of guys here and all are ready to help whenever needed.
