Very nice! Santa may be extra good to you this year!  Better get a bigger stocking.

I like the use of pocket holes on the soon-to-be unseen outside of the drawers. It keeps them simple to build and strong.

My typical overthought out method would be to cut some sort of interlocking joint or even dovetails that would go unappreciated.

it's the same method i used to build our kitchen drawers, all 44 of them, 5 years ago.  no problems since then.  lots of ways to make fancy drawer joints, but many of them don't work with plywood.  this does.

I'm a big fan of pocket hole construction. I don't build pianos.

got the base cabinets for the sewing center done today.  8 drawers remain, as well as a top for it.  hope to wrap up the drawers tomorrow.

GREAT JOB!!!! If that don't get you out of the doghouse, nothing will!!!!

and the sewing center is done (except for drawer fronts, waiting on edge banding to arrive so i can do those next week.  ran out, didn't order enough.  oops).

she can finally organize her huge thread collection. that's only one drawer, the other is about the same.  discovered she has 4 spools of clear thread....that's 3 too many.  now we know!  will sort by color later.

4 drawers on right already full of stuff.  lower 2 on left still empty....that won't last.

Really nice job on the craft table!!!

I like it with the wheels. She can roll it out of the way when not using it.

All done yesterday, pics later. Woot.

Super nice Dab, bet the wife really likes it.

One question though, why so many casters?

Two separate drawer sections. Didn’t want the top to bow over time.

Santa had better be good to you. Or, should that be Mrs Santa? In either case, that's two very nice projects for the other crafts person in the house.

That is the best craft center I have ever seen. well thought out too.  Your craftsmanship really shows on this project.

thanks.

we had one small oops.  the second drawer down to the right of the stool is where she keeps her craft paints.  hundreds of them.  they are in 6 containers by main colors, and pretty heavy.  well, the 1/4" bottom wasn't stiff enough, was sagging too much.  no sweat, pull it out, remake it out of spare 1/2" ply (rabbited the edges to fit into the 1/4" grooves), swap it it, all better now.

it's 34" high, too low for my continued use, but just right for her either standing or sitting on her stool.  little foot rest area in the center there was a clever fix.

she went from 5 drawers in her old sewing center, to 12 in the craft center and 8 more in the sewing center, including 2 just for thread spools.  way happy now.

my Christmas gift to myself is on back order from Wilson Combat.  sigh......maybe sometime in January.  it's ok, it have other pistols i can shoot in the meantime.

and then i made a new TS outfeed table with some left over parts.  i accidentally ordered too many heavy duty casters, so used the extra set on this.  already had the spare 1/2" plywood and the 4x4 legs from another completed project.  love free projects.

40 x 48, 34" high (1/2" lower than the TS top)

I've accidentally over bought some things before too. Fortunately I've always found a use for them in the shop as well.;)

You did good DAB on all three projects. REAL good!
