November 28, 20178 yr Yep. I have learned my most valuable lessons thru mistakes, which luckily have left me uninjured, except for my wallet.
November 29, 20178 yr Popular Post It's not always preventing the mistakes that make you good at woodworking...but, how you recover from the mistakes you make, does...
November 29, 20178 yr Author Popular Post It's not a mistake, it's a learning opportunity. Or a chance to re-consider the design. I have a friend that I've helped out from time to time. He would always irritate me with the comment, "It sure is easy when you have the right tools." I felt like telling him I had a very nice violin upstairs if he'd like to do some Vivaldi for me. November 29, 20178 yr I've never checked but, I think both halves are there. They just don't get used a lot.

November 30, 20178 yr I'm sure both halves are with me. Problem is, they don't always agree with each other. Causes a lot of confusion.
November 30, 20178 yr I make plenty of mistakes (learning opportunities). I kind of like it when it happens. It forces me to try to be creative, which I don't get to do in my day to day.
November 30, 20178 yr Popular Post Dad reminded me often I should learn from the mistakes of others because I wouldn't live long enough to make them all myself.
