Got A New RO Sander

Came in a no nonsense plain brown box. Packed well. Initial impressions, very solidly built, a tad heavy, sealed on/off buttons, 6' cord, box style DC. Nice, comfortable top grip. Not too soft, not too hard, just right. Variable speed. Velcro pad. Came with 6 sanding discs.

Minimal vibration on high. Fairly aggressive, great DC. Hardly any residual dust after 5 minutes of use with 80 grit. Easily controlled on crotch grained mesquite.

It replaces a not quite dead PC 5". 

I think I'll like this one better.

Looks like a really nice unit! Very similar in design to the DeWalt I have.

Not sure of the manufacturer. Maybe some indication, the manual says to take it to the nearest Ryobi repair center for repairs.

Is this the one,Gene, is it a 5",or 6" disc?

It's a 5", Herb. Didn't see a 6" listed. All my other ones are 5" so my supply of discs limits me to 5". Don't sand very large pieces, anyway.

It was listed as a Tacklife 6 on Amazon, but I see now that it is a 6 speed 5" ROS.

The manual is not Chinglish. Their ad writers and tech writers went to different ESL schools.

Good review Gene...never heard of this name brand but worth the look.

Best thing is it comes in a plain brown wrapper so wife wouldn't a new tool arrived.
