I'm a hoarder, but not the worse

Featured Replies

My wife says I'm a hoarder of tools and lumber but I've seen some of the shops on here. Some of you got me beat and even reorganize to be bigger hoarders...

We had a professional organizer come into work and after  looking into the "Toyota way" it helped.

I find drawers the number 1 problem in shops...

In my own shop,  I find I spend more time  looking or finding a place to put something and is anti productive. No flow mean less production....

It obviously doesn't mean much in a hobby shop or does it. Especially is you value your time....

Good Lord, I used to spend more time organizing than I did working. So, I gave up organizing. Now, I spend an equal amount, or more, looking for stuff.

I've taken to labeling storage spaces. The floor is labeled "Pencil Box". But, somehow screws and drill bits end up there, too.

My personal philosophy- if it doesn't go up the shop vac hose, it's worth saving! But I check the vac when emptying just to be sure!

I simply will have to make a choice. I'll have to clean it to use it or not use it at all.. When I'm out there I spend more time clearing a space to work. By then I've lost the itch to work...

Wait......Must be why I'm on here instead of the shop...

You do, you get the exact same raise we all get, including myself, 5% ! So let's see what that adds up too, since we all make a six figure salary here, $000,000.00, add 5%, your new pay rate Billy is $000,000.00

Congrats! Welcome to the All Volunteer community called The Patriot Woodworker. :D

Hey, what's that gardeners shovel doing in the woodshop?

No wonder you can't keep things straight and get anything done...

Everyone knows that should be left outside in a flower bed somewhere.:P

My first thought was for shoveling sawdust into jars for safe keeping.
