Guess I need to reintroduce myself

Featured Replies

My name  is Wayne Ellington and I was on The Patriot woodworker several years ago and due to several things that was happening I did not have to time to be on the forum.  Now I'm hoping things settle down some and be able to get on the forum again.  After going thru several deaths in the family on both my side and my wife side, it took awhile to sort thru things.  Then the company I work decided to do away with the night I was working on and had to move to working days.  That pretty much took away what free time I had for woodworking along with remodeling our home.  That part is basically done except for a few little things to do.  Also I'm now retired since December 31, 2015.  Although I may not have done much woodworking in last 5 years, things I did on the house was woodworking in the sense. New door and window trims.  Installing and staining Crown moldings and baseboard moldings.  Frame out for bathroom mirrors and so on.  Do have a few pictures of other items for the house, just need to get them loaded on the computer.  I'm looking forward to seeing some old woodworkers on here and meeting new workers also.

welcome back Wayne...

sorry to hear of your hardships... hearts to you and yours...

I trust you'll be signing in, posting pictures and bringing donuts...

Hey Wayne, glad you found your way back. @John Morris should be able to help you re-establish your original log-in info and profile. The site may have changed but the purpose has remained and is even more rock solid!

Sorry to learn of the challenges which have confronted you; hoping things continue to improve.

Congrats on your retirement too! The best & busiest job you've ever had!:D

Since I wasn't here when you were previously, I missed out on those donuts...but now that you're back, donuts are great ice-breakers:lol:...I'll have the chocolate covered, chocolate ones please.:P

As for this, speaking for myself...you've found at least one "old" woodworker here:P

Stick just had to re-sign in with new password.  Oh there be some pictures and some post.  Just not sure how often yet.  As for donuts, I'll eat first them before I bring any.  I love those things.

It could get ugly...just sayin'!

Grandpadave.  Glad to be back.   Hope John Morris can.  I don't even remember how my old profile and log-in was.  Chocolate donuts with cream filled is my favorite.  Thanks

Welcome back.  Look forward to your participation.

Good to see you return, and hope to see you around often! Welcome back!

Welcome back Wayne. Looking forward to seeing your work.

Sure do hope they have not started a doughnut war. I hear the supply is plentiful.

Welcome back; donut or no donuts.   Sorry to hear about all the family trials and tribulations.   Hope you are in a better place now.  -_-

Welcome back, Wayne. You won't even think that you were gone in a couple of weeks. Time to wind down and take some time for yourself.

As for the doughnuts, you can keep all you want for yourself, but you have to throw a few to the wolves to keep them at bay...I like glazed, myself...just sayin'...:D

Welcome back, Wayne, and congratulations on your retirement.

John

Wayne glad to see that you found your way back.

Donuts are the way of life on the forum now. Donuts are welcomed anytime.

I'll take a dozen creamed filled please.

Welcome back Wayne. I've been visiting here for just over a year now, and it's the best of the best woodworking sites.Fantastic help when it's needed and the guys are great. Grab a line and enjoy the fishing.

Welcome back Wayne, the more the merrier. My life has been a little like yours the past year so I have not been participating as much as I would like to but things are finally slowing down.
