A good Monday morning to all.  I got started a bookshelf chair for my niece late last week.  I have no plans and a couiple of ideas in my head about this albatross but I'm plodding ahead.  Right now I have the lower part cut out and it has clamps hanging all over it so that I can get it dimensional correct and balanced.  I'll try to start a tread to show the progress.

Monday...about says it all....

Might have the Bandsaw "fixed" for now......will be pricing a new motor, later.

Drawer wars were started......maybe the next drawer will be a bit better....

It was a great weekend. I have the other half of the shop wired and insulation up. I am waiting for my 3 - 220 plugs to be delivered (no one in my area stocks brown receptacles). They should be here today. Once I get them installed, I will tie all of the lines in at the breaker box. After that - covering up the wall.

I'm still asleep. I'll get back to you in a little while! :)

gave away a little cherry box i made to a good friend at the pistol match (i had fun, but shot poorly).

this week:  first up is remove some brick pavers from an exterior set of steps, then cut new concrete pavers to size and install them with thinset.  it's a messy job.

yeah, i know, that doesn't seem to involved much woodworking.  some weeks you have to do other things around the house.

Still working on church pew boxes and started getting materials ready to do plaques. Had hoped to go to the range this week but just got a email that they have started on reworking 3 of the ranges so not sure If I will make it there. Got to go to the dentist for checkup this morning.

Week is planned out already! Mom appointments, computer glitch to try and solve, table top plan for adopted son's restaurant and I have to try and get to the saw mill for maple to make a high chair for some new grandparents.

Enjoyed a family picnic on Saturday.  Good food and fun with the family.  Moved a couple trailer loads of firewood Sunday.  Good exercise but ached a little.  Need to move more this week.

brick pavers all taken up.  relaxing now.

Saturday my wife went shopping and I did nothing.

Yesterday, we did nothing but go eat at one of our favorite seafood restaurants.

Broke a couple belts on the mower; once fixed finished last weeks mowing; time to start over again.:( Youngest grand-daughter starts her HS volleyball "career" tomorrow night. Two meets this week and possible third on Saturday; all away events. A number of home, property and equipment tasks that need to be done...take a pick.

Picked up a few Maple boards..one even has a bit of spalt going on....might be a drawer front?    three 1 x 8 x 9' long planks....doing a bit of trading for that wood.

Volleyball. Cheep entertainment and you get to watch your granddaughter play. But take heed. Some matches can go loong into the night. That can be tough on old men! :-) Don't ask me how I know!

Oh I know Mike...she's played since 6th grade plus swims too...both have summer leagues as well; Oldest grand-daughter (HS Jr) has been swimming since the 5th grade and this will be her 3rd year HS varsity. The away meets are the the killers as I suspect you know. There have been a few we didn't get home until after 11 PM. I carry seat cushions in the truck at all times which "softens the blow."

The bigger challenge this year will be bringing both home together from HS swim meets...summer swim they swam in different divisions...now they're together. I may have to install one of those cages between the front & back seat:rolleyes: You would never know they were on the same team, let alone sisters at times.:P They haven't ridden together on the school bus for 3 years years...one sits near the front, the other goes to the back...bad enough they have to stand side-by-side waiting on the bus:D. I'm sure deep inside they love each other...right now they prefer no one knows that though.:P

Clutch is gone on our tow behind DR mower. Will order a new one tomorrow. Too late in the day now. While waiting on the clutch, the weed sprayer will get a workout. With the rain we've been getting, the tumble weeds and goat heads are coming up. Gotta get ahead of them. It'll be a weekly job from now through September.

Maybe, Wednesday I can get back in the shop.
