I see a lot of Euro-hinges in my work, often just needed some adjustments to line up doors.

In the last five or six project that I've done with doors, I've used them.   I'll have to admit, when I looked at all the options in the catalog, I got real confused. Cups and mounting plates sold separately, soft close option, degree of opening, amount of overlap, face frame or frameless, type of mounting screws, 3 or more different brands, etc. . (Though it's somewhat easier to just go to Rockler and pick up one of the smaller number of options there).

This just came in and I found it to be a good guide into helping select what you need.

P.S. I found out years ago that Blum hinges have a lifetime guarantee.  If one ever fails, they'll send you a replacement.

And here is a presentation Blum gave the the woodworking club last year

Over the years, I've built a good number of cabinets and like casework. Since the late eighties, Blum is all I've ever used. Even used their under mount drawer glides a few times. As easy as the hinges are to install, you'd think the glides would be a breeze. Not so! I found them to be a royal PITA. They sure are smooth, though. And, the self closing feature is a real plus.

Yes, I've only ever worked on those soft close undermount slides once.   My impression was a $5 solution for a fifty-cent problem.  Yes, complex.

Blum is what I get the most (hinges), though I've used some KV drawer slides and some Hettick. I built a bath vanity and used the soft close undermounts, what impressed me the most about them was the weight. These were the Hettick slides, and I had just read an article in FWW gushing all about how great they are. Truth is, they are great...also very expensive along with my earlier point (weight). One question I have about the euro hinges, though. I can see how easy it is to adjust them to get doors aligned when there are only 2 hinges. But what if you have to have 3 or more per door, how do you adjust the alignment then?

slowly.

establish height at hinge side of door first.

then get spacing off the cabinet when closed (I shoot for 1/32 or so), then lastly work on racking (kicking out the bottom or top to line up with the other door or cabinet frame.

I used the for the first time a few years ago on a bathroom vanity. Much easier to install/align than standard hinges.

I got mine from http://www.cshardware.com/

Me too. That is where I get my hinges and drawer slides.

Blum and Grass about the same. Grass usually cheaper. Personally I've gotten attached to Salice...
