Good Morning Friends,

What is the better way of storing saw blades? Stacking them on top of each other or storing them in a case of some sort to protect the teeth?

The obvious answer is: protect the teeth!  I keep most of my spare blades in the original packaging.

Dave.

Read a handy hint this week to buy 3+' feet of 1/4" plastic tubing, slit it, and wrap it around your 10" saw blades to protect the teeth.

card file type holder w/ separators...

This way (IMHO, of course)

I use a 1/2" wall peg.  Absent an earthquake, no jostling.  If I ever used more than the same blade in the TS, I'd probably just run blue tape over the teeth.

I hang mine individually on nails up in the floor joists since they are reachable.

Quite a few years ago I built a cabinet with drawers for them. It is similar to what Fred has going on, but the blades lay horizontally. I've been very happy with it. I think that I got the  plans from a woodworking magazine.

Charlie, I think I saw the same article, because your system sounds exactly like mine.  Only difference is I dedicated a few drawers to circular saw blades.

Tom, the one in the magazine article is intended for circular saw blades, and thats what I did, filled it up with circular saw blades. What did you put in yours ?

I used some drawers for 10" table saw blades, and some for 7 1/4" circular saw blades.

Mine rest in a drawer with dividers ,but at a 45 degree angle so drawer is not extremely deep.
