June 26, 20179 yr Love that old lathe. I finished up the last of the 50 pens I am making for my cousins. Need to get started on the bases for them next.
June 26, 20179 yr Regretfully, shop time may be slim this week. My son in law's father died Sunday morning so we'll be involved there. We are also prepping to leave on vacation so the week is quickly evaporating. I have a show in July that I need stock for. Sigh.

June 26, 20179 yr Popular Post Got 8 boxes from pews ready for finish Friday. Saturday 3 of our turning club got together to do a Jimmy Clewes platter. Still have some finish work on it. Edited June 26, 20179 yr by Gerald photo size
June 26, 20179 yr @Ron Dudelston...Very loss for the loss Ron. Prayers to all and especially your SIL and family. Saturday left early with the girls to travel to an all-day swim meet/summer conference finals. Our team finished 2nd overall which is not bad considering the small numbers we had for the meet. I did hit a flea market and couple of yard sales on the return trip; the money I didn't spend at those was diverted to Lime Sherbet cones at a favorite family summer ice cream shop. Ran a few errands after church, ate lunch then "piddled in the garage the remainder of the PM. Just completed Round Trip 2 3 4 5 6 of what will be six today shuttling girls to/from the high school; ~18 mile round trip. The remainder of the week should be less busy in that regard. I need to finish some garden work, mow & trim today & tomorrow, then get things organized to resume work helping complete my oldest grand-daughters 4-H WW'ing project (more to come on that). To all, have a great week...Safety First-Remember: "An accident is looking for a place to happen!" Edited June 27, 20179 yr by Grandpadave52

June 27, 20179 yr Finished putting a small separator together for a 1 hp dust collector. I'm glad thats over with, I put quite a bit of time into planing, and getting it done. But in the long run I got what I wanted, a portable two stage DC for the small winter shop. I can assure you that the dust hose on this machine will be as short as possible.
