New guy from Bee Cave, TX

Featured Replies

Stick was kind enough to send me an invite - I live on the west side of Austin TX in a town named Bee Cave.

I am semi-retired and have moderate woodworking and routing skills - I'm looking to learn tips and best practices and maybe offer a few tips of my own.

Welcome.  Glad to have you onboard.  Look forward to your posts.

glad ya made it Randy...

now about those donuts...

Welcome to your new home Randy.

See, you haven't lost any expertise...we're all just a different click away!

Thanks and Glad to find you Bill - I'll be here a lot!

Yah! Where's the doughnuts? The new guys always brings the doughnuts! Just don't be like Mike and take a bite out of my glazed.

Well if ANY of you guys are around the Austin TX area - I will gladly buy the donuts!

I'm 58 and still have so much to learn about woodworking.  I have helped frame 3 houses and

mostly done outdoor wood projects such as chairs, benches, picnic tables, playscapes etc.

But I am now moving to interior of the house type projects such as furniture and cabinets.

Glade you could make it Randy. I know your area well. A daughter use to live on the west side of the river about a mile or so past the dam and to get there we would go past Bee Cave a hair or so they turn east toward to river. A hairy little road down to the river. Now they live in Cedar Park.

Welcome aboard.

Welcome Randy.  Evidently they don't mind  that we are from Texas so saddle up a horse and ride right in, don't forget the donuts.

Nobody minds, that, you're from Texas, as long as you don't post any photos of those ridiculously huge belt buckles! :D

Welcome aboard Randy. I'm A New Englander. My only time in Texas was back in the 50's, at Amarillo AFB.  A long ways from Austin. My youngest daughter spent a couple of years in Austin, getting her Masters degree at University of Texas. This is the greatest site around.
