A Walnut Vanity

Featured Replies

I've been tasked to create a walnut vanity for our half bath. This vanity will be Danish Modern style, rectangular, clean lines and crisp edges.

I glued up the side panel this morning, the clamps are off and I'm flattening this end panel.

Working the panel in a diagonal cross pattern, then I'll start in from the opposite side.

Well the rest (drawer faces) is leaning up against a wall, since it's such a simple cabinet, there aint much to it. Here is an image of a vanity that is something like what we'll have. The difference is the grain is all horizontal, the one side will wrap with the drawers. We'll have two drawers. Since this is going into a corner, the walnut panel you see me flattening is the only side panel, the panel against the side wall is maple ply that will be edged with walnut.
