Popular Post Al B Posted April 25, 2017 Popular Post Report Posted April 25, 2017 (edited) According to WW Journal, the presidential overturn time for the FTC ruling. has expired and Bosch can no longer sell the their table saws in the USA. We can thank Mr. Greed (Gass) for this. The American woodworker is being deprived of the Bosch technology that would provide a safe table saw in their shop that, unlike the Saw Stop, would prevent injury without expensively damaging to their table saws and blades Bosch does plan to appeal the FTC ruling. I'm sure Mr. Gass's greed will ultimately result in more shop injuries than his Saw Stop technology will prevent. PeteM Posted April 26, 2017 Report Posted April 26, 2017 Bosch website has a banner/stripe announcement that they are not selling or marketing the Reaxx. I notice Home Depot is still allowing orders, so I suppose selling existing inventory is kosher? I wish Big B the best, but I imagine it will be a while before they make a cabinet saw for woodworkers. I never say never. I have my preference, but I also perceive Need, and Need trumps Wish. Popular Post Dadio Posted April 26, 2017 Popular Post Report Posted April 26, 2017 (edited) Maybe Bosch could sell them in Canada , and we could go there and buy them. Or sell them to some other country like japan or Mexico and they can market them here under a different name, Make Mr. Grass have so many lawsuits going he runs out of money. Any of the saws in the distribution stream prior to the ruling are legitimate, and Bosch has pledged their support to the owners regarding parts and service. I don't remember where I got that, but it was from a Bosch news release I caught somewhere. HARO50 and Dadio 2 Quote
schnewj Posted April 26, 2017 Report Posted April 26, 2017 I really like the Saw Stop saws! With that being said, I WILL NEVER own one because of the BS that Gass has engaged in to screw the consumers, other manufacturers, and the American people in general. As a former safety professional I like the end result of the SS but I, like most of you, like the Bosch system much, much, more. I can only hope, that, Bosch ultimately wins the war. Like Pete, I would really like to see a Bosch cabinet saw with the Reaxx system. I would buy one in a heartbeat just to rub Gass's nose in it. Gene Howe, Dadio, HARO50 and 1 other 4 Quote
