Three months gone from this year, can you believe it? Maple leaves are coming out, grass is green and ready for mowing. I'm not ready for mowing yet though. John Deere needs a tune up first.

Today started off so bad. I lost the keys to my three trailers and I was suppose to pick up a load of lumber. So after several hours of looking I purchased new locks and cut the old ones off. As I'm undoing the package I drop one of

the new keys on the assemble bench and have no idea where it went. So new locks and I'm already down to one key.

But I did pick up the lumber. Walnut, Cherry and Red Oak.

I also started on another Green Egg Table that I will finish this weekend.

While working on the Egg Table, I'm also making 18 Oak Shadow Boxes 10x16x4 1/2. Got to miter the corners and then glue them up.

This morning I had a crew here pouring concrete to widen my driveway.

Wow this has been a busy week and looks like it will continue into the weekend.

So what's on your agenda? We love to hear what you are working on so share your agenda and pictures.

Im tired and headed to the couch!

Played around outside the first part of the week.  The yard was dried out enough to get the equipment out and clean the yard of all the debris blown around and down this Winter.  Have to do that between monsoons.  Started raining yesterday and hasn't stopped since.  I cut some log slices last Fall and let them dry all Winter.  Routed numbers into them so my niece can use them as table numbers for seating guests at her wedding in a couple months.  No pictures yet.

Whew John, I'm worn out just reading all you've done...:P Another awesome load of lumber ya' got there...I'm as green with envy as the Green Egg's destined to your tables..;)

Got a little garage time in this week doing some cleaning, de-rusting, putting away some tools. Like Dan, also spent one afternoon before the rain & storms came cutting brush, overgrowth. Also got in an hour rust hunt...I bought (4) hand saw handles for $10. I plan to go back and buy at least (4) more to replace some specific saw handles.

Like you, I need to get some work done on my old JD's for the mowing season. This weekend will be stick & debris clean-up brigade...grand-kids, daughter & SIL have their orders. I may try to fill the lawn roller and flatten some mole runs...certainly soft enough..

For those of you who do not go to the Free For All Section:

I got the cast off and in a walking boot for 2 weeks. I can put weight on the foot progressivly over the next 2 weeks. I start PT on the 17th

Plan to get into the shop and paint the router table cabinet tomorrow (have permission to get on the shop from the wife)

Also, what you did this week John would wear me out too. We faired pretty good in the downed limb area, just need to mow. I think I will watch the wife and give her moral support. (I am sorry I forgot to add this, just still pretty happy to be mending so well and a quite a bit more mobile)

John, I'd be exhausted just following you. I did get the charger on the battery for my JD. With the mess I have from the winter, It will be busy.  Still haven't had any time to really put a dent in the accumulated branches. Snow is falling now and it looks like I may end up with a few more branches to add to the pile, based on the forecast. No signs of green grass or buds on the maples here

Great news Chip ! Glad the ankle is healing well.

John--- that load of lumber sure looks nice. It'll keep you busy for a few days!

I thought when you bought new locks you'd find the keys when you got home. It happens to me with anything when I "misplace" things.

Hope you're enjoying the couch time, John. You deserve it.

Kelly, it's great that you're more mobile. Don't get too frisky, now.

Won't get in the shop this weekend. Sons are coming up to help me celebrate the 2nd anniversary of my 38th birthday. It's not til the 3rd but, they have jobs to get back to. So, I can get back in the shop, then.

I am officially into a job building 24 shelving units for a local school district.  As of today, I have 8 built and only 16 to go.  when I reach the halfway point of 12 finished, I'll spray Sealcoat on them, clear my garage and collect some cash.  I might add that John Moody had that apron poured for me.  Every time I have visited his house, I have missed the curved driveway and ended up in the grass.  Thanks John.

Made an IDPA box of cherry as a present for a friend.

Match tomorrow.

I nwould love to say you are the only one that missed the drive but that would be wrong. I think there were more that miss ed it than hit it.

We are finally putting the finishing room to good use. My wife is sanding on a table we are redoing for a friend while I am spraying a finish on a Big Green Egg Table. It is so nice to be able to sand and finish at the same time without one bothering the other.

Wow I am excited about this. We have been oiling cutting boards while we keep working in there but spraying without covering everything in the shop is awesome.
