Yep, I haven't built a clock in a long time so here goes.. This time I will do things step by step in the right order. Gotta watch that Legacy machine. If my mind ain't 100 % tuned in to it, it will eat me alive. I would swear it does things on it own just to tick me off...... Even before I click it on...

Hey if more guys would make things to show you wouldn't have to look at my stuff so often...

I have bout run out of thoughts on colors for the next ding dong..

That reminds me, has anyone heard from Leo from Phoenix. Or is he here with an alias? Hey Leo, they are only looking for illegals not aliens.

Michael Thuman if you will tell me what you want to know about carving I might can help here. I got lots of secrets but none pertaining to wood working!

It is Michael and I am no artist just an engineer.  I like straight lines and crisp corners.  Yes I am boring.  But when I looked at your clock I was amazed.  I just think you should start teaching others but not me.  Remember the days of plaster.... right now if you look for a professional plaster person they are rare and expensive.  Same for carvers when the CNC machines take over your art is lost.

Then CNC revolution may be years off but please teach others so that your talent can live on with others.  If you are no longer with us we will all be sad but glad when we see another hand carved clock similar to yours.

Lew I agree. You don't have to be in a certain class. The more you build things the better you will get.

If I can find it I will show you the first thing I ever built using a scroll saw. And hey, I was just as proud of what I did then as I am when I finish with something now.. I just think when someone shows something it makes others want to try. Maybe it makes them feel left out of the fun????

I think I heard Leo had to bury his computer.

Thanks Dan I been wondering about that boy.

I've been close on having to bury my computer also.  The other day I was reading a story about the only three guys who escaped from Alcatraz in all the years it was open and no one knows what happened if they are alive or dead. And right in the middle of the story my computer locked up and things started showing up on the monitor so I unplugged it from the wall restarted it and went straight to the three little dots up in the right hand corner and brought up a screen and went down to settings, clicked on it and scrolled all the way down and clicked on reset settings. I did that and even though I had to sign in everywhere the computer is running good and no problems.. I think in the info it explains it will reset to an earlier date. How far earlier, I have no idea but it has worked a few times for me.

I would like to continue reading that story for I got to the time when they found the make shift raft the three used and my story quit right there.... Shucks      But my computer is working good, especially since Microsoft fixed my free cell from jumping up and down and going crazy.

I think NSA had something to do with shutting you down, they are hiding those guys and using them on secret projects and they don't want anyone looking into the escape.

Herb have you read about that escape? That was in 1963 and they closed Alcatraz in 64 I think? Do you remember anything about it.

I remember seeing a movie staring Burt Lancaster, Bird Man of Alcatraz. Good movie

I remember when it happened and I was in the military then working at NSA and it was the big joke there at the time. Later I did read a couple of articles and I think there was a book about it and a TV documentary and some Tabloid speculation, to my knowledge they never have Officially found the guys, but our government does so much overt undercover stuff you can't discount that.

Herb

They were abducted.

so you are in cahoots....

They have never found D. B. Cooper either, he was the guy who hijacked a 727 in Seattle in 1971 and bailed out at night between Seattle and Portland with a satchel of ransom money .His legend lives on.

Can't blame the aliens for this one. Big Foot got him first.

Never thought of that, Gene, but you might be on to something there.

Yeah, he took the cash and got himself a shave and a haircut and bought some shoes. Hitchhiked to Seattle, went to Pikes and bought some fish. He was heard muttering "I'll never have to wade the cold Skokomish again".

Last I heard, he was thinking of running for congress.

Are you talking about D.B. or Bigfoot?
