Yep, I was doing a bit of research on ZA after reading these posts, and I saw some complaints from users, that when they visit the ZA website, their Zone Alarm triggers a bad hit, visiting their own website! Reading further, it appears there are levels of security for ZA, most new users tend to set the highest security level possible in the software, and they end up with a bunch of false readings, so they go down a level and it acts more realistic.

 

Our own community here would set off some alarms as well, as most online communities would, one thing virus detection software does do when it examines websites it they look for ownership information at the domain level. Most websites do not provide ownership information, we actually block that private information because we don't want a ton of spam coming into our inboxes, so that in turn triggers a Zone Alarm reading for example, or it could.

Copy and paste in a domain, ours for example, and you'll see the ownership, me, is not provided. That can and will trigger a bad red flag to website visitors. The reality is, most webmasters do not provide ownership information. And this can and will trigger finicky virus programs that are set at max levels.

No problem with EWT site,on my computer, I am running Avast FREE.

 

But it will stop my online banking every time, go figure.
