March 18, 20179 yr Popular Post comment_102786 I turned my seed pod today and made a small vase like my wife requested. It sure did turn a little strange. I sure am glad I got my vacuum hooked up Report
March 18, 20179 yr comment_102794 That is really cool Ron! Very interesting texture and color contrasts. Very nice finish on it too. What are the overall dimensions of the vase? Report
March 18, 20179 yr Author comment_102812 Base to top is 4 inches and the pod is 2inches in dia. It has a 3/4" hoe. I started going bigger with the hole size and it started to chip out. Report
March 18, 20179 yr comment_102829 Thanks Ron...makes a great bud vase...who knew something such as this could evolve from a seed pod...You did sign/date it on the base bottom didn't you? Just checking Report
March 18, 20179 yr Author comment_102833 I usually put a cover on the bottom and that eliminates the best place, I think I'll use a fine marker to do it near the base of the pod on the Walnut Thanks for reminding me Report
March 18, 20179 yr comment_102847 I saw Tim Yoder do one of those on his show, and he mentioned the mess part of it. Really looks nice. Report

March 19, 20179 yr Author comment_103016 I used Hut Crystal coat. I was thinking that just about any other would certainly get in the holes and cause runs or streaks Report
