I just finished an 100 year old roll top desk for a client and thought you might like to see it.

 

So here goes on my attempt to post a couple pictures of said desk;

Every time I see one of these desks, I am reminded of the W.C. Fields movie- "Man on the Flying Trapeze".

Wow Ralph...that looks better than it did 100 years ago...beautiful restore yet maintaining the patina and character of the wood...still on my bucket list to own one of those some day. Thanks for the pictures.

I would love to own one too, but where I am now, it would be too big, have always loved those . Many of them had secret compartments built in to hide the valuables.

It was all the compartments and small drawers that tripped my trigger for them.
