Agree, though you won't lose anything if it's bad. But it doesn't keep forever...and it would be a good idea to put the cans into a plastic bag in case they start leaking. Trust me, if they leak and you don't see it right away it can be a real PITA to clean up.

Yes.   I was in Sherwin-Williams about 10 years ago and asked if they carried shellac.   He responded, "We have shellac primer."

 

"No, that won't work."  I said.

 

I picked up the other stuff I was after and he came over, "Just what is that and what do you use it for?"

 

I expected him to say, "We have poly."
