Popular Post lew Posted February 3, 2017 Popular Post Report Posted February 3, 2017 Finished up the "Communion Table" for my sister's minister. He picked the design/size/materials. The church members will apply the finish when it is delivered. Made of maple, birch ply and walnut. Mortise and tenon joinery all around except for the long lower stretcher which is connected using a sliding dovetail joint. 30" H x 20" w x 40" L. Gene Howe Posted February 3, 2017 Report Posted February 3, 2017 Really nice, Lew. Nice clean lines. Your joinery is top notch. Since the minister picked the walnut, I hope theres no paint going to be used. I still think you've earned some points upstairs. HARO50, lew and Grandpadave52 3 Quote

Grandpadave52 Posted February 4, 2017 Report Posted February 4, 2017 (edited) Excellent Lew. Minimalist design which couldn't be more befitting for the intended purpose. The choice of woods given their contrasts when finished (assume a natural, not stained) will make this table a perfect serving table for communion. As others have noted, your joinery on this is beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Edited February 4, 2017 by Grandpadave52 lew 1 Quote
