Looks like a guy I worked with years ago.

Her technique is better than mine. animated-laughing-smiley-emoticon.gif

Wish I could do that, go to sleep that is.

Way back, I joined the "OldTools" group when it spun off from rec.woodworking.   They used to refer to the hand-tool guys as "neanderthals,"  which then they took on proudly.    Good thing this wasn't around then?

You know, somehow I don't think they would mind.

You worked with my brother-in-law?

I have been known to MONKEY around with some hand tools from time to time.

She stops and looks at the saw, and I get from the expression on her face that she is thinking "There has to be a better way to do this!"

that looks exactly like me in the shop

Unbelievable...that they just stood by and let her use tools with no safety glasses or "having read and understood the operating instructions" for the tool.

Forget OSHA, PETA and all those other light-weights...I'm calling Norm Abram...working like this is barbaric...expecting her to use her feet for a wood vise and no PPE...

BTW, that saw looks an awful lot like the one @steven newman bought at Aldi's so he may have skin in this game too...;)
