November 8, 20196 yr Harbor Freight spray guns are well known on the finishing forums ICON torque wrenches ard turning heads these days with reliability. They have had numerous clamps that have competed with the big boys... There wrenches get high reviews in comparison to the big boys There lathes were good for the money... There are just so many...I'm getting ready to look into there 6mil gloves....

For the young guys starting out I recommend them. If they decide to stay int he business they can always upgrade and take the old ones home and have a 2nd set. This is how I built up my set of tools at home. Still have a Chinese made set of SAE I got in 1995. They work fine for home stuff and the occasional odd automotive job. Clamps, yeah if you put a stiffener board in those bar clamps they are great. Work okay without it but it some well used scrap upgraded for cheap. I like the 2 inch cheap brushes for those odd jobs where you just don't want to waste a good brush. Like cleaning parts or getting into a corner to clean out something.
November 9, 20196 yr At one time they offered a harbor freight version of the gear clamp. I missed this and didn't get in on the deal. The sold for $12.99 in 2013. No longer available. ...I pay almost$20 for the jorgensen .. Edited November 9, 20196 yr by BillyJack
November 9, 20196 yr Popular Post Reminds me....I need to pick up a few more of these.. blue/gray handled "F" style clamps....only have 4 @ 12", 3 @ 24" and a couple oddball lengths.... Need more C clamps, too
November 9, 20196 yr I filled up the storage area I made for clamps in those sizes. Still buy them and put them in common places at a short reach. Great for small jobs.
November 10, 20196 yr I have a bunch of the older HF F style with the tiny handles. I turned some reasonable sized handles for them.

It slides over the t handle when made straight and makes running it up and down quicker. Once in place pull back slightly and turn t handle to tighten full strength, or for some gorilla strength, a chosen few = till it is crushed.
November 10, 20196 yr Popular Post I have some inexpensive clamps i purchased long ago and lacking the hand strength to crush my MIL chair back into shape... well, some of those handles look like someone took channellocks to them.

Mmmmm now I wonder who would do that? Must be those shop gremlins.
