Good morning folks!!

I must make this one short and sweet, just learned some mudslides from our rains are blocking my primary route to work this morning, so I need to duck out of here much earlier.

So, what did you get done in your shops over the weekend, and what have you prepared to do for the week ahead? We love to hear and read, and view what you are doing in your shops, and life period.

Carpenter's bench; Museo Agrícola el Patio, Tiagua, Municipio de Teguise, Lanzarote, Canary Islands, Spain.
The farm "El Patio" is one of the largest and oldest farms of Lanzarote. It was built at the beginning of the 19th century and inhabited until 1949. Now a museum, the furnishing of the rooms, kitchen, toilet, stable, wine cellar and others represents well the way of life of an agricultural worker at the beginning of the 20th century.
At that time it was the best developped and largest farm on he Island of Lanzarote. 20 farmhands with 15 camels worked on the fields of this farm.

Not much in the shop...a bit of clean-up, pick-up...still feeling a bit woozy from the flu...got all the Christmas stuff back into containers plus all the additions my wife just now unveiled purchased because it was at least 75% off:rolleyes::P...Anyway stored for another year.  Truck let me down again yesterday PM....cranks, but no start...getting it hauled this AM...Based on my troubleshooting yesterday, hopefully it's just the fuel pump driver module?? Too much else going on today to try to figure out.

Pretty sure mom will be readmitted to hospital today for tests. Nursing facility believes she has either severe bronchitis or has contracted pneumonia. Waiting on doctors orders. Back to transporting my step-father. My brother left yesterday AM on business for Amsterdam and his wife traveled to San Diego Friday to visit family so neither available this week.Edit add: change of antibiotics and monitor for now...mom feeling much better this AM...brother arrived safely in Netherlands but very tired

Nice eye-candy...quite a "cordless jointer...

Be safe out there John...you West coasters have been getting your share of winter weather. Also keep all those in the Southern region in thoughts & prayers...significant destruction, injuries and loss of life. East coast is getting the brunt now, so keep them in mind also,

Got together with my brother and had our usual solve the problems of the world BS session and went to lunch.  Went and saved a damsel in distress.  She had locked herself out of the house.  Did the hammer off the door knob trick.

Made a vase employing the inside out technique at the lathe.  Turned out well and pictures can be viewed here.

Finally got all of the material cut, sized, and dry fitted for the table base. Sanded a few of the pieces several more to go before the glue-up.

built a serious casserole...

Did not get into the shop this weekend. Took advantage of the good weather on Saturday to get some things down outside. Hopefully can get out to the shop this week, but we will have to see.

Spent the weekend+ in Tucson. Bought some mesquite. Visited family and friends.

Today is being spent replacing solar path lights, toilet seats and a thermocouple.

Hopefully, it'll be shop time tomorrow. Finish up a jewelry chest and get started on a couple rifle cases.

I hate Mondays!

Dealing with a "new" camera right now.......Half afraid to even stick  me nose into the shop.....bad things are bound to happen on Mondays.....Hauling bratty GrandBRATS to their HOME STATION, as soon as I can get there.   then you want to handle sharp objects?    Ahhhhh....NOPE.   I 'll try tomorrow, since it won't be Monday, then

Eye Candy..

These can wait at least one day.....

Good thing you are not going into the shop. After hauling bratty GrandBrats (your words), you might be tempted to use a sharp tool for other than its intended purpose.

You might just want to go for it.

hauled the 4 new shooting benches to the range this morning (i took 2, another guy also took 2).  rode with a new friend who helped me build these.  in discussions with him, he noticed a little box i had just finished on my work bench.  liked it.  wondered if he could hire me to make him a little box for his mom's ashes.  tell you what, how about i help you build one?  so today we looked at some wood scrap samples, he likes walnut.  he's going to think about what size he wants, and likely later this week he'll get some lumber and we'll start this little project.  if you make your own, you can make it any size and type you like.  Navy vet (has a disabled vet tag on his truck), also likes guns.  nice guy.  stay tuned.  don't pay me, just make something you like (with my guidance) and say "thanks".

Trying to get a ukulele rack painted and out of my shop. The thing is complete but my daughter was to paint it before we haul it to her classroom and assemble it.  Bad thing is that I need the room to start building two oak bookcases that actually pay their way.  Good thing this is just a sideline and family and friends always come before $.

Got a little time in the shop on Saturday. Got the tops on my table saw, planer and jointer all cleaned, waxed and buffed.

Also got paint on a lego table I'm building. It was nice outside and I was spraying it with red paint. Almost got finished and a storm came up all of a sudden so brought it all in and will finish it later this week.

Grandkids came to to visit on Sunday and it rained all day so I stayed in.

Had therapy today and they told me I had one more next week and they were turning me lose.

How did you guys get the header for other posts embedded in your post?
