All lumber is pressure treated, including the CDX plywood. They'll be fine. They might get a roof over them next year. Plan to make 4 tomorrow. Heavy is good for rifle benches. January 21, 20179 yr Author comment_93722 and yes, i know i left the tags on more than one piece of lumber. feel free to visit the range, remove one or more tags as a memento, and then enjoy your day shooting. i know how to do fine woodworking, and this isn't that. these are sturdy, functional, weather resistant items that will serve their purpose just fine. January 21, 20179 yr Author comment_93751 using pressure treated lumber and PT CDX plywood, as well as 3-1/2" and 2" long deck screws, each bench cost about $85. two of us built these 4 in 3 hours. now you can budget too. Report
