That's because of the off gassing. But, it would likely be ok in a bathroom.^_^:rolleyes:

correct...

and as little as you will use... kinda moot...

I don't understand, what flexing? granite doesn't flex. the top is granite , not wood so it will not grow. and the rails under it are free to grow. And if some blocks epoxied to the underside s on the ends with some elongated holes to allow for any small movement everything should hold fine. unless I am missing something.

There is noty enough wood sub structure to make that much difference.

the silicone, mastic or Vulkem is/are the blocks...

drilling the granite puts it at risk for breakage...

faster cheaper too...
