Edit add: or BTW Blessings to you and family in this New Year!

Likewise Dave! Have a wonderful 2017!

I gotta tell ya, I about fell off my seat when I saw those sticks in the image, been looking for those forever. Right above my head where I use the TS!

It's true, our service members are giving back even after service in active duty, just by allowing us regulars to perform work for them, gives us a sense of fulfillment that a price cannot be placed on.

you are making it back to non power, getting back to your roots, is that the way I am supposed to read that?

yes...

not so much my roots....

just prefer it...

True Stick, not to say your old, but the older generation of woodworkers did start out with non power, then had to move to power to make it faster on demand, than as you circle back in life, you are making it back to non power, getting back to your roots, is that the way I am supposed to read that?

But, but, but...some of our roots are in power tools. I do some hand sanding, though. And, use a block plane some times. Does that count?

things are typically put away at the end of the day, and the floor is swept and the shop is air blown as well.  every night the shop was cleaned and everything put back for the next day, it's an old habit of mine, just can't break it!

same here...

1 employee, on rotation basis, no mater their job gets broom and shovel (and gopher) for the day...

also everybody puts away and cleans EOD/COB.....

I am such a buffoon, been looking for a couple push sticks I misplaced for months, I just saw them in my second to the last picture hanging up above the table saw, right where I put them!

Almost always found in the last place you look. Glasses on face, hat on head, keys in the pocket....now where did I misplace my kids....Oh yea, xBox and Wii.

Forget the 'bakky! Mouth cancer is no treat. I've seen what it can do.

John

What John says is true. My dad and a good friend died of mouth/throat cancer (lifelong smoker...i never touch the stuff)....   It's bad seeing what happens.

Like very much your pictures and your shop space.  Thank you for all you do.

Cleaning up?   Even the circus has someone following the elephants around.   Not fun, but very necessary.

Don't even have to smoke. The gent I'm talking about only chewed his!

Our local small zoo used to bring an elephant out to parades and other functions. I remember on one charity walk, Angus was suffering from diarrhea. Felt sorry for the poor kid following him with a wheelbarrow and shovel! But I guess a job is a job.

John

Agreed, huge inspiration to me to keep cleaning mine up!

You are well organized, John and thanks for showing such a clean well organized shop. Makes me kind of ashamed.

By the way congrats on being the LeaderBoard winner for October.
