Making my way back!

I'm trying to make my way back on the site. I had left knee total replacement on Friday December 23rd. They got me up that afternoon and had me to stand with equal weight on both knees. I could then slide my feet to the right and the back to the left. The next day we walked down the hallway and back. On Sunday morning the released me and I got home about 9:30.

Tuesday morning brought the first therapy session starting at 7:45am. Almost two hours and I was exhausted.  Same thing was repeated Wednesday and once again I was exhausted upon returning home.

Today i I get a break but I've already done the exercises I can do. I'm feeling much better and will try to be online and read the post I've missed.

I can't wait to get through this therapy and back to a more regular routine for me. Thanks so much for your prayers.

i tried to get all jobs out before surgery but finally realized it just wasn't going to happen. As soon as I can I'll be back to work on those but not before I'm told I can.

WHEW!!!

don't know what to say...

here's to the shortest recovery in history...

Looks like the Doctor was trying out his new Bostitch stapler!

Glad you're feeling better and hope the recovery continues without a hitch!

Have a friend up my way, left knee has been done,     She finally is out of rehab for it, and barely needs a walking stick.

Tain't no rush,  let it heal.    I'm still waiting on the first follow up on my left knee.   Find out next week.

Take care of that knee.....BTW, did they get all the Rust out of it?

That looks like one of my sewing jobs!

I sure hope you have a speedy recovery and can get back into the shop and the rest of what you do very quickly!

Whether you like it or not they get you moving ASAP to keep the muscles working.  Do what the doctors say and you will be good to go soon.

No no the pain is pretty much under control.

Glad you're back.  Best of luck for a quick recovery.

You're an old hand at this. You know what's what.

John I got the same thing done on my right knee and left shoulder but while I was in the hospital this guy in the next room suffered way more than either of us the next morning after his operation...

Doctor told the nurses he is doing great and when he feels like it let him take a shower. So being the he man he thought he was after he got in the shower and turned the water on and admiring how he didn't hurt somehow he got too frisky and his leg went too far and doubled back the wrong way flipping him over pinning him down in the little shower stall where he laid there. He said he knew he was in big trouble when he could feel his knee behind him and his foot was in front .... Right back to the operating room he went... But he said he screwed up when they wanted to assist him getting in the shower and he said go on and take care of someone who needs help and they all disappeared.

Oh and don't forget what the nurse told me as we were leaving the hospital to always remember the good goes up and the bad goes down. She was referring to which foot goes up and which foot goes down.  You will understand as you are healing...

My thoughts were they diffently were not trying to cut a good straight line.

Apparently staples less were on sale which I'm glad! They got it closed and nothing will fall out.

We live in a split foyer house, so you never go in or out without climbing stairs. I had my right knee replaced a couple of years ago so I've got up with the good, down with the bad engrained in my head.

I wish you a speedy and painless recovery, John.

John

Here's to better times and healing. PT is a B@@@@@. Don't have too much fun with all those pretty Physical Therapists.

Sure am glad John is on the road to recovery.  If you want some entertainment, give John a call.  Depending on where he is in the pain med cycle, he can be a riot.  :P  Ask me how I know....

Great to see/hear you're on the  mends John and doing well. We're all still pullin' for ya'. I know a few others here that have also BTDT with knees so they relate well.

Take it easy when you can and stop in when you feel like it. We've got you covered while you get better.

BTW...don't worry about that big lumber stash you have...if you can't use it for a while, we'll do our best to use it for you! :P Take care!

Hey Ron can we Skype in a session or maybe a live feed, "John Moody Presents."  I'm willing to "kick" in a little if necessary.:D:lol:

Probably takes that to force him to do what he needs to.
