magnifing wood burning

Featured Replies

Was watching jeopardy last night and Alex asked a contestant what his hobbies were and he said wood burning with a magnifying glass.

I have never heard of that so I did a google search and wow. Go to the link below and check it out. Now I need a good magnifying glass,

That is interesting,Preston, it must take a steady hand and sunlight, both are scarce here.

What a great idea! Controlling ants with no chemicals. I can't wait til summer to try that.

Ants are ok once you get them trained. Those untrainable one get the boot. Besides, you don't want to wear out your magnifying glass.

I guess it is a little more fun than watching paint dry.  I wouldn't have the patience.

Sooner or later you'll be wanting one for much different reasons Preston...it won't be to scorch wood or ants either.:P Maybe to see the ants...:D

Just shows us everybody can learn something from watching Jeopardy. Thanks for sharing...

Looks like a whole lot of patients to me. I'm pretty sure that's not for me, let alone I am not an artist by any stretch....

The three times you know you are in trouble: When a Lieutenant says “give me the map”; when a Captain says “I have a plan”; and when a Warrant Officer say “watch this”.

And, we were outside! At least I hope most of us were outside when we were cooking ants with a magnifier...
