November 4, 20169 yr Author Stick, looks good. I could not store a forth of that. I do admire all of it. Even labeled, I couldn't remember it.

November 4, 20169 yr For the longest time I had 3, 14.4 Volt batteries. One day i ended up only being able to 2. I searched all over for the darn thing and couldn't find it anywhere. I gave up like last year looking for it. I figured this spring when I renovated my shop I'd happen across it. Nope no such luck. The other day when I was off I decided to go ahead and clean out the garage (which is not attached to the shop) I was looking through a box of random crud and there it was. Of course this would have been a moment of victory had not the drill and flashlight the charger and the other two batteries been stolen last year when when someone broke into my work truck.

Advertise it in Craig's list, when he comes to get it grab him and call the police. herb

Preston my latest strategy for a recently used tool or material is to just stop looking and carry on. It usually appears in a couple of minutes.

November 16, 20196 yr I got more hardware than our local hardware store has. I took my hot melt glue gun and glued one each screw, nut, bolt and whatever to the out side of each drawer to match whatever's inside each.

He does this with everything in the factory. I have recently emptied out the work van and slowly moved into my basement workshop. In the last couple of months, I've reorganized the mess of hardware at the scene shop and also at the furniture bank. I've done this "visual identification" with a lot of the storage bins. Today I found some 1.5" wide yellow tape and labeled some of the shelves and buckets, too.
November 16, 20196 yr I use to have more hardware than tools and wood. I bought a contruction auction storage locker out. It took several years to get rid of all the galvanized nails, screws I couldn't use. I found all that crap just took all my space. Phased most of it out... Edited November 16, 20196 yr by BillyJack
November 16, 20196 yr Popular Post Organizing is good, but RECALL is always a issue. recently started labeling with tape and a marker what is in drawer. These are a few of my solutions to organization.

November 17, 20196 yr I'm one of those that can lose something while holding on to it! Now where did the trackball go?
November 17, 20196 yr Author Popular Post Larry, that makes me feel like a normal guy. I do those same dumb things. My dad did too and I could never figure out why he did it, now I know. When it happens, I just sit back & relax or do something else and the lost tool pops up again. A few must of ran away and were never seen again, until I buy replacements.
November 19, 20196 yr Popular Post I never lose anything. But, there's a good number of shop items, the whereabouts of, I know not. Edited November 19, 20196 yr by Gene Howe
November 20, 20196 yr Stick----I have the same Eastwing 12 oz hammer, purchased in the same year---also one of the first tools I bought----just back from Korea.
