November 3, 20169 yr comment_82462 Well, while the computer/dinning room is in complete dissarray......I thought I'd take a few pictures of some older items. Like the title says...Router Table.. Well, something for a Router/Modem to at least sit on...black spots are about 50/50 nail and bug holes. bottom edge of the apron is some 1/8" stock planed fancy. legs are not notched, the fancy trim is.... And a mitre at the corners. A full sized view? Breadboard ends. The top itself was from a single wide plank of Sycamore. Was almost 13" wide...at one end. By the time things got squared up, it still was 11-1/2" wide. M&T joints for the legs. Almost all from barn wood. The other item tonight? Well, it USED to be old flooring, ripped out of an old One Room School House..... Ah yes, a Coopered Lid. Raised panels were from a table saw doing rebates around the edges, then a plane to round the edges a bit. A bit of brass to close it up with... Yep, even the ends. to get an idea of the size of this thing... One has to step back a bit. Chest is 41" long, afterall......Both will get covered up again, as things get put away. Chest IS full, BTW. We had to SLIDE it across the floor. Feet have plastic nail on pads, to help out. Both were made well before the Dungeon Shop came about. built in a drafty, old pole barn. How about another look at the top of the Router Table? Not a glue up, this is a single plank, At the time it was made, I ran it through the electric planer. Pole barn and the planer are both long gone. Not sure what that pink thingy is.... Report
