Same here, dynamite boxes. In fact, my dad still has about 1/2 dozen dynamite boxes at his place. A couple are still in good shape.

Hope they are empty,with these new Homeland security laws it is risky.

A few years ago while cleaning out my Dads garage,He was going into a home, I ran across these blasting caps,maybe a dozen wrapped in an old cloth in a coffee can.I brought them home, I didn't know what to do, so called the sheriffs dept. to see how I was supposed to dispose of them. That was a mistake, within minutes I was surrounded with police cars and they were evacuating the neighborhood, men in bomb suits were rummaging thru the house and garage. nobody would say anything when i tried to talk to them. They said finally that I was jeopardizing the whole neighborhood and I thought I was going to be arrested. My wife was terrified and all the neighbors were lined up along the sidewalk in front of the house.

I found out later from friends that the sheriff had driven the 3 hours to where my dad used to live and thoroughly searched his old property to see if there was any more left there. They found none, so that was the end of it.
