October 28, 20169 yr I made this center piece for my wife a few years ago. It is all exotic wood and all the cylinders are attached to each other. My daughter took one look and said, "Dad, can please have this, it is wonderful?' My wife was standing behind her and nodded. She loved it too,but gave it up without hesitation There are also some other turnings there around it and it is setting on the table you have seen posted here on PW before Edited October 28, 20169 yr by Ron Altier

October 28, 20169 yr Nice work Ron. I had not seen the table before (at least that I remember ); The table is fantastic...the depth of that finish on top is remarkable. Thanks for sharing everything!
October 28, 20169 yr Author I have made so many small unusual tables, my wifes favorite furniture. Maybe I'll post some pictures

October 28, 20169 yr Author It is not my work as we know work. I have always wanted to do creative stuff, but was held back by something called a job that required many hours.Sometimes weekends and holidays. When I was gifted with early retirement (downsize/resize) after nearly 40 years on the job. I had heaven in a simple one room garage shop, had some old tools and all the time I wanted. What more could a guy ask for?
October 28, 20169 yr Author I don't like making two of anything. 1. It is hard to get things exactly alike 2. It is not creative to duplicate 3, I like to move on to another idea
