A FRIEND ASKED IF I COULD MAKE SOME FANCY QUILT RACKS FOR HIS STORE

great  job~!!    no where in the pics did I see  the  lathe you turned the spindles on.

Great work---- as to the bleedthrough I have had good success with Zinsser sanding sealer---dewaxed shellac---- supposedly will work over any finish or under any finish----seals in any and all negative elements, including the odor of cat urine.

Cliff I usually keep the Legacy covered. Its on the other wall.  Once I start uncovering it is turns itself on and starts blinking, hey pea brain lets make something and it adds yes I know I will have to do all the heavy work, you just turn the crank..

It does take up 8 foot of space in my shop.

I made walking canes one years for moms yearly craft fair.

See the two turns in the middle, these were just practice dowels to see what the router bits would make then I would hang them on the wall for a reminder on what bits to use. Well the craft fair got here too quick so I made handles for all the practice turns and they all sold even after I explained and showed the flaws but they shrugged and said that's okay....

  Ash and one Fir,

Two of the cane handles are of the famous animal, the Snipe. So if you have ever gone Snipe hunting then you know who was left holding the empty bag!!!!!!!!!!

With these pieces I can go back and forth from the Legacy to the lathe and I can keep the same setting from each machine.
