Reason for request: 

I typically use my smartphone on the morning and evening bus ride to do my forum reading/posting so navigation from page to page is a biggie.  I use "All Activity", maybe wrongly, to start my thread read.  It lists all the individual posts in order of appearance of all the threads mixed together.  I have used "Condensed" view but still lists all posts. 

 

Request:

(1) Can you consider showing one entry for each thread on the "All Activity" page with the following modifications...? 

(2) A click on that thread would bring you to the first post... 

(3) A click on a new icon would bring you to the last post...

(4) A click on yet another icon would bring you to the last post you read...

For new icon placement for (3), a symbol next to the last poster's name...for example...

For new icon placement for (4), a symbol next to the thread name...for example...

 

Benefit:

This would allow ease of navigation while reducing the amount of scrolling on both small screen smartphone/tablet and desktops.

 

 

Maybe something like this already exists and I haven't found it yet...?

 

 

Nick, thank you for taking the time and laying those suggestions out so concisely, those are great suggestions.

What I'd like to do for now, if you have not already discovered this wonderful feature about our community. You can actually create, and customize your own activity streams. Take a look at those options if you have not already, and play with it for awhile, and see if they help at all in getting you to where you want to be much quicker.

 

While at home in desktop mode:

1. Hover your cursor over the "Activity" tab
2. Click on "My Activity Streams"
3. Then click on "Create New Stream"

You are able to create and remove all the streams you like.

 

Let me know if you are able to check any of the items off your list above by creating your own "Activity Stream(s)". And report back and let us know of the remaining ones, or all!
