Workbench Magazine November-December 1965 How to Use a Wood Turning Lathe

Featured Replies

As I was perusing my old Workbench Magazines, I found this really cool old tutorial on using a Wood Turning Lathe, just thought you all may enjoy this throwback in wood turning. I have also uploaded a .pdf as well for your use.

To see other plans we have been uploading from this really neat series of old Workbench Magazines, please go to File Downloads.

If you have any interesting plans or schemas you'd like to upload to our digital library, feel free to do so, and if we need any extra categories to accommodate your files just drop us a line at "The Patriots Pulse" forum, and create a topic with your suggested file categories and we'll get the categories up and live for your use.

They are fun, I love these old magazines.

That depicts the basics and not much has changed since then either as far as basic turning.  On the third page they show a screw chuck.  I didn't think they had that then.  I wonder if it had a draw bar to hold it in?
