Leg roller

Featured Replies

My wife has restless leg syndrome and I had a great idea. I'd make a roller that you could roll across your leg, arm, etc. This is it and it is beautiful.

The roller is made out of a shrub like tree that died in my yard. When I cut it down I looked at the end grain and saved it because it  I may be able to turn it down. It was beautiful when I did and decided it was perfect for this roller.

 Problems is.....................................it didn't help her one bit:P

Try Requip for restless leg. It is a prescription drug . Works pretty well . If is a bedtime problem she would take it 2-3 hours before bedtime. Love the color in you shrub turning.

She has used that for years and it is wonderful. I was hoping for an alternative way of easing the problem. Our neighbor also had restless leg and was so bad he was taking up 9 pills at bedtime.

So far one pill works, but there are times when she takes two. We are just thankful that there is something hellps

WOW...

that is a work of art...

That is really beautiful!

I have not been diagnosed with RLS, but sometimes after going to bed, my legs realjy start to twitch and will not relax. I have found a hot bath really helps to get them to calm down

Oh yes it did! It helped her see how much you love her, just that much more Ron. :)

Requip Is wonderful. My wife can sleep and function as a normal person.  Requip was used in Parkinson treatment and they also found out that it  relieved restless leg syndrome. You should ask your MD about it. It has been a live saver for my wife. It has not effected her in any way....................maybe she is more stubborn now

That is some pretty grain for sure!

Very nice piece Ron. I can sympathize with her, I have RLS and it can be really troublesome at times. I take two pill a day for it. Seems to be worse in the evenings. Sometimes it gets bad in the night and I just get up so my wife can sleep and get in the recliner and check out the site. If you see real early morning post from me you know that is whats going on.

Love the grain in the piece and it looks great. I am sure she appreciated the effort.

First, sorry it didn't help. Second, it's a very nice piece, anyway. Beautiful grain.

That is a beautiful piece of wood.  I saved a piece from some I got rid of too and made a beautiful box from it and wished I had saved more.  Never know what's inside a log.

Maybe the roller doesn't help with her RLS but is may be soothing on tired legs after a day out sight seeing.
