Battery Holder

Featured Replies

I lost a lot of my hearing during my stint in the Navy, working around jet aircraft. Now I wear hearing aids. The batteries tend to die when you need them most. I turned this little holder for my key chain. Made from Walnut and Maple.

sweeeeet...

Cool. Bet you could get rid of a bunch of those.

Perfect idea.  Love it!

Nice and wonderfully practical!

Great idea and neatly done. Is the screw cap wooden?

Yes it is, Steve. I had a metal tap and matching die. Took a little practice to get the threads done without tearout. You would think the best way to cut threads would be "with the grain". Turns out, across the grain works much better.

That is one great idea.

I really like it, the idea and the execution!
