Such as I am sure the mortise and tenon was 1/3 the T and 2/3 the W of the narrowest thinnest piece. like most things i build, the only "design" is a sketch and a few sheets of yellow legal pad working out dimensions of certain pieces. i think i saved some in progress pics, let me check later. overall is 48L, 19H, 18W. i have a book by/about Sam Maloof, and one of the lessons i learned from him is to design and cut as you go. so i do. saves some miscuts and lets you adjust as you go. knowing how big i wanted it, i worked backwards to get the remaining dimensions. how much space should a part have, how deep a drawer do i want, what looks right? you learn.
