i will.  copied my cutting board post over to here a bit a go.  as time permits, i'll post some current and past projects i've done.  that would include:  kitchens, bathrooms, tables, sideboards, bed (just one so far), little stuff (like cutting boards, bowls, spoons, jewelry boxes, what not).  i got quite a few questions some time ago about a standing desk i had designed and made.  i'll have to dig deep and find all these pictures.  organized picture folders?  surely you jest.

Welcome to the hoardette. Or mini hoard.

Doug, is it? Hope you enjoy TPW. Looking forward to seeing your work.

yep, Douglas here.

i'll have to dig thru my photos and find stuff worth showing off.

more than once, someone has said "wow, you do nice work".....i tell them that they don't see the burn piles, the oops projects, the big parts that ended up just  wee bit too small, making me have to start all over again.  all they see are finished projects that i thought turned out half decent.

let me go digging and verify i know how to post pix.

I remember your work well Doug.. hence the asking...

maybe more like ... herd...

Or...Golden Horde?

Hey DAB, glad you're here. Iooked at your end grain cutting board tutorial so many times on Wood intending to make some. When I heard about the closing I printed it out so I wouldn't lose it. I have been a little lax on shop work for a while and this forum is inspiring me to get going again.

Hey, Doug, welcome. Might as well join in the fun. I see you brought your sense of humor, also.

As for the oops piles, that is what makes a good woodworker. I keep telling those starting out that you need to build, make the mistakes, learn, and do it over and over until you get it right. Then the great projects shine through.

Like everyone I, too, make mistakes. I cut a board too short the other day, and when I cut the same board again it was still too short. As a matter of fact it was shorter then the first time I cut it, so it still didn't fit.

Cut big parts first. If you mess up, that becomes stock for smaller parts.
