OMG, it's global destruction!

Featured Replies

Still turning globes and getting TOO comfortable with it. The one globe was all done and ready to part off when I just got careless and tore it up. Too bad, had a nice shape and thickness on it. The other one I just too thin and got some hair line cracks in it, you have to look close but the cracks are there. May try to save that one.

So that is what global destruction looks like! A big ol hole! Is it loud when it happens too?

I will bet that you could probably still make something out of that one - paint it up and put a minature nativity scene in it. Just a thought...

I hate when stuff like that happens.  Cut it off flat and use it for a snowman butt, er I mean bottom.

Dan you surely could come up with a better option with your salvage reputation.

Steve Carve a man and use it as a helmet, or put a jewel in the hollowing hole and large finial in the blow-out.

Thanks for the suggestions but the one I tore up will go on my "shelf of shame". Now that I remember, I gotta get me a bigger shelf :). The one with the hair line cracks I'll seal with shellac and then flood some CA on the inside. For what I have in mind with these globes that will be fine.
