A Clean Shop is a Sign of a Sick Mind

Well, today I decided to get sick in the head. It's been too long and the sawdust and clutter finally got to me.

Several weeks (months?) ago, I ordered a set of really nice steel center finding rules from Woodsmith. A 12" one and a 6" one. Within a week, the 12" one got lost among the detritus I've allowed to accumulate. Search as I might, it was not to be found. I knew that the surest way to finding it was to order a new one. But, I refrained.

Today, I found it! Along with a countersink, and a bunch of pencils.

The day's not over. Who knows what forgotten treasures await.

roflmao.gif I know the feeling all too well.

Oh man, I think I have 20 straight slot screw drivers in my shop, somewhere!

Great minds must think alike. I did some cleaning today, also. Need to look in the shop vac to see if any lost items reappeared.

I was telling John Moody today that I started out Monday thinking about cleaning the shop if the spirit moved me.  It is Thursday and the spirit didn't.  Oh well.

Do you have a life line to help you find your way back out?

Kelly, I cleaned a meandering path in. Left bread crumbs just in case.

Good to know.

I cleaned up a little myself yesterday.  Once I found the pin vise I was looking for the shop suddenly looked clean as all get out and it was business as usual again.

I thought we agreed to "Spring Cleaning" until, after a little cleaning up saw dust over the weekend, I found that dasterly little spring that I lost several months ago ! ! ! ! !

You'll find a short supply of folks analyzing each other here Stick. Face value, it is what it is, taint no more dan what it tis! Just a bunch of regular ol folks, some a tad more complicated than the next, but all good folk.

noted..

I cleaned up some more today.  Needed somewhat clean space to take the YO-YO pictures.  I guess that is what they call clean as you go?

You'll find me at the simple end of the spectrum. That's for the new guys. TPWW's old hands already knew that.

Everything in my shop is exactly where I put it, now I need to find where!
