I wrote not to throw pieces away and the two pictured together are the ones I didn't throw away. They started out as an experiment with soft junk wood. They were one piece and I was not pleased with what I had. I cut them in two and started turning. Added stain on one and a piece of pine on the other. They aren't too bad, but I wish I would have used god wood.

 

I just finished the one pictured by itself. It is more traditional and refined. I had to invent some tricks to do it, but I got her done

:) All of my ornament (less 2) are on permanent display in our living room. My wife won't part with them. The other two our grandchildren have. Probably have them all some day.
