The latest pen

Featured Replies

Hi guys and ladies. For those that do not follow me on Facebook, I wanted to show something that I created for a friend. This is Corian, that is patterned to what looks to me like cream of wheat of some sort. It was sanded and polished, no other treatment (like CA) was used.

This is mounted on a Slimline twist pen kit from PSI, which uses a Cross refill. It comes with a black ink refill, but you can probably get blue and maybe even red if you want it, from basically any office supply you frequent.

Thank you for looking :)

A really pretty one, Charles.

Thanks guys, this one turned out better than a lot of them have so I am very pleased with it :)

Great looking pen. Do you buy your corian or pickup at cabinet shops?

Really nice, I sometimes make two piece tops using corian. I really like how they look but corian sure makes a big mess.

Steve

Nice pen!  I made some out of Corian and like the idea of no finish but as Steve says it makes a different mess.  I gave them away and have had to repair two.  If they are dropped they break but can be glued and polished easy enough.

Very nice and functional! Thanks for sharing

That is really great. No one can appreciate it like wood workers do. We know the skills and effort that goes into those pens. The problem I have is that I'd rather display it than to use it :)
