This is the one that is off center and has some really bad places in it. I think my wife made, it At least she wouldn't let me toss it. The main body is pine and it did everything you wouldn't want to happen. I used pine because I was experimenting and did't want to waste good wood.  The inside is painted black to cover all the tare outs inside. It also broke in two pieces. 

 I guess as long as she likes it.......its ok.

If there's a flaw, you can't see it from my house. Looks mighty fine, to me.

Mistake? What mistake?  Looks fine to me.  Besides, most woodworkers are their own worst critic.

We had a demo at our club last year on this and I keep putting off doing one. Good save. Isn't it amazing how black paint covers so much up. I used black gesso recently and it did well.

Anyone that can turn pine and have it look that good has my respect for sure!
