steven newman Posted December 26, 2015 Report Posted December 26, 2015 And, in the mad rush to get all things "put away" after Christmas is over.....The Boss had an idea on how to both tidy up all the coats sitting around, and reduce the pine boards I have on hand..... Laid out five holes on a piece of 1x6 cull cart Pine. Had 5 drawer knobs to use up. Pre-drilled those five, plus four others to attach the thing to the wall.....with 2" long Stainless steel screws that were also sitting around in HER way....She had a spot picked out... Not the best photo. This is set up between the back door, and a back window. Right over the hot air register. Warm coats before you leave, or have them air dried after you come home. Two screws at each end go right into wall studs. Pre-drill was with a Goodell-Pratt automatic push drill, #188A. Screws were driven with a Stanley/ Handyman #133H "Yankee" screwdriver. Both for the wall screws and the knob screws. Took a few minutes, then I could go and hide from other "Honey-Do" items.....hey, at least this was wood working...she'll want it painted as well, I guess...
