I ran into a moving sale this morning and picked a very nice Bailey #5 Sweetheart plane for $10 and a Rigid feed stand for $7.50.  Here's the Bailey.

Now that is one clean looking Bailey Ron, great job and good eye! I love the No. 5, nice feel and length.

The icing on the cake is that it belonged to a friend of mine.  He and I went through apprenticeship together in the 70's.  This one will never hit the market as long as I ingest oxygen.

That's wonderful Ron, dumb question here, is he a woodworker? Or was it one of those planes just sitting around in the garage that made its way into his life for some unknown reason? I have found that many of these planes end up in a garage whereas the owner just had it laying around, bought it 40 years ago because that just what you did for a garage tool.

He's more of a collector than a woodworker John but he does "dabble".  He had another Bailey but it was post 1935.  I may end up with it also.
