August 27, 201510 yr We went pickin today in Portland Indiana. This year is the 50th Steam and Gas Engine Show and there are always tables set up with folks ready to wheel but not necessarily deal. About 10 acres of tables in fact. I was able to buy three items that I really didn't need but wanted. I bought a #20 7 1/2" Stanley Sweetheart tri square with rosewood handle for $5, a Stanley 110 plane for $3 and a Starrett #4 12 inch square for $22. I paid a bit more for the Starrett square than I wanted but it is like new and I have a twin to it at home. Here's the obligitory pics for John Moody. Edited August 27, 201510 yr by Ron Dudelston
August 28, 201510 yr Author Larry, there's a smaller version of this in October. Come on down and stay at the Dudelston B & B.
August 28, 201510 yr just to help you date the Stanley Square here is the time frame they used that logo. Some really nice picks. When you can clean the top of the iron in the 110 and it will tell you when it was made.
August 28, 201510 yr Author I cleaned the 110 up today and I was pleasently surprised. The plane is a "sweetheat" and according to the logo mit was build from 1923-1935.
